Avatar Films was founded in 1997 as a theatrical boutique distributor, releasing films under their own label, and partnering with other distributors and independent filmmakers to handle their theatrical releases and marketing campaigns.
Films that Avatar Films has released independently include KANDAHAR, NICO AND DANI, DIVINE INTERVENTION, ZERO DAY, AFTER MIDNIGHT, THE ART OF AMALIA, and MC5: A TRUE TESTIMONIAL, generating most of the theatrical trailers and other marketing materials in-house.
